Call us crazy – but we think (hope) that Spring is poking it’s shy little face around the corner.  In sheer celebration of the return of sunshine and longer evenings we have popped together a post to show you our favourite spring collections.

We can’t wait for picnics on the green, fish and chips at the seaside and we’re loving all the daffodils springing up!  Soon it will be time to put away our children’s winter coats and scarves and opt for a lighter look.  Here are our top picks this season.

BOBO CHOOSES –

To be fair, we have loved each and every collection Barcelona based company Bobo Chooses have released.  But there is something about their current collection, ‘Der Blaue Reiter’ that really, really speaks to us.

Bobo Chooses

With creative paint splashes, fantastically wonky striped socks, and our favourite print of the season (The Matisse collection), Bobo Chooses is our top SS16 pick.  They have a brilliantly whimsical selection of clothing for girls, boys and babies too.  And, even better, there is an adult collection which features all of their top prints this season.  There goes our budget for March.

BENE BENE –

We came across Korean brand Bene Bene is this month’s issue of Milk Magazine, and instantly fell in love. Their clothing has a high quality finish and is made in a great range of fine fabrics and stunning colours, but is priced to allow children to actually grow out of it without causing you (and your credit card) to cry.

Bene Bene

Bene Bene have a selection of beautiful, and practical clothing for babies, boys and girls, and a great range of accessories and home decoration too.  We just love their Tulle String Lighting, this gorgeous ‘Play Hard’ look for babies, and this classic striped top and flared jeans look for little girls.

WOLF AND RITA –

Another of our favourite brands, Wolf and Rita first grabbed our attention with it’s fab Spring/Summer 14 collection ‘A Song For A Perfect Summer’.  This season’s collection ‘Bonjour Jeunesse’ has great pieces too, and as usual, a selection of fantastic prints.

Wolf and Rita

We love the scribbled, inky text that features on canvas bags, shirts and tops too and adore this worn sleeved denim dress and striped bird print motif.  With a regular presence in the top kid’s fashion magazines, from Papier Mache to Milk, Wolf and Rita is a fab brand to keep your eyes on.

THE ANIMALS OBSERVATORY –

A new, eagerly awaited fashion brand, The Animals Observatory is already making waves.  The company is ran by Bobo Choses co founder, Laia Aguilar, which already tells you this collection is going to be incredible.

The Animals Obervatory

With soft colours and timeless prints, The Animals Observatory also creates garments ethically, and designs them to last from one generation to the next.  Their debut collection is inspired by Jacque Tati films, 1960 African matchbox motifs and Charlotte Perriand’s work.  We just love this soft peachy sweatshirt and this wonderful dog print jumper.

RASPBERRY PLUM

Raspberry Plum is another great kids brand we have noticed in various editorials this season.  We love quirky fashion, and their chambray shirt with winking eyes is an absolute must.  The only question is, could I fit into an age 11 – 12?  I highly, highly doubt it.

Raspberry Plum

You can see their whole Spring Summer collection over on their website, with pieces for boys, girls, babies and accessories too.  We highly recommend you check out the accessory selection, the socks are adorned with fantastic graphic prints and pom-poms.

MINI RODINI –

Mini Rodini are renowned for their great prints, having given us fab mermen, giraffes and pineapples in previous collections!  The Swedish brand was founded by illustrator Cassandra Rhodin, and created as a tribute to children and their imaginations.

MINI RODINI

Spring Summer 16 is just as strong as ever – We love the space vibe and the unicorns too.  This current line is described as a collection ‘For those who didn’t find a lucky clover in the lawn, and for those who hope to make a wish on a shooting star’.  We wish for their cloud print t-shirts to come in a size 10…

CHAPTER TWO –

Finally, its time for our favourite kid’s shoe brand.  Chapter Two really are incredible.  Their fantastic shoes are sophisticated and unisex, whilst being playful in material choices and spirit too.  The shoes are all crafted in a workshop in London by founder Fay and her husband Tom, and are made from the highest quality Italian leather.

Chapter Two

Their current collection is inspired by none other than Elvis himself!  Gold boots, black and white saddle boots, and of course, blue suede shoes!  Who can resist?  Check out the entire collection right here.

There’s your fix of Spring, Summer fashion for 2016!  Now, let’s all cross our fingers for just a little bit more sunshine this year!
