In
this new series of posts we are excited to reveal our first party tutorial.  Expertly written
and photographed by Yvonne Hunt, one of our newly appointed design team
members.  Yvonne takes you through the steps to make your very own treat
box, ideal for movie nights or how about Halloween!
What you need:
* Strong thick card

* Scissors

* Guillotine (optional- but would make cutting a
lot easier)
* Scor pal (again optional but you will get lovely
clean scoring lines)
* Double sided tape
* Large circle punch
* Decorating papers

Firstly cut two strips measuring 12” x 5”.
Along the 12” side score (to make folding lines) at
4”.
Use a circle punch to punch out the handles.

Next cut out two strips measuring 14” x 3 ½”.
Along the long side score at 1”. Along the short
side score at ½”, 4 ½”, 9 ½” and at 13 ½”.

Along the long side make cuts up to the scoring
mark.
Fold along the scoring lines and stick double sided
tape along the edges and

so you end up with two boxes………….
  that need to be taped together. Put lots of
double sided tape on the back of one box and

stick the two together like this

 I downloaded some
digital papers off of the internet and printed them onto photo paper.
 And here it is the finished box. Now we just need
some goodies to go into it:
 A drink, sweets, cupcake, cookies and other
Halloween related goodies
 A Halloween treat box
   or maybe a girlie pampering box
or a movie night treat box complete with popcorn.
The possibilities are endless: farm animal theme, princess theme etc. These boxes are so easy to make and kids love them,
As well
as being a very talented crafter Yvonne also runs her own cake design company
which can be found here http://www.utterlycharmingcakes.co.uk/
We hope you like our tutorial we would love your feedback
Lots of
love from
