Here in London we are a little bit spoilt for choice when it comes to great party venues. There are such a huge range! From stunning Victorian conservatories, to sleepovers in London’s most famous toy shop, we have you covered.
As anyone who has ever planned a party will know, the event location is a very important feature. Where you stage your children’s party can really set the scene for a wonderful day out, and can also often provide entertainment, scenery and a great backdrop for your imagination.
MC MOTORS
Every once in a while we come across a location that blows out minds. Mc Motors is definitely at the top of that list.
Whilst a former garage in Dalston might not sound like an ideal spot for a children’s party, you will be pleasantly surprised. With fantastic circus light features, vintage toy cars and shabby chic styling, MC Motors is an event planner’s paradise. Not only will your kids have a great day, the photographs will be stunning too!
We have seen the space used for a number of weddings, but think that it would be a fantastic backdrop to a very special kids’ birthday party, and can’t wait to see who is the first to book it out!
THE LOOKOUT, HYDE PARK
The LookOut is hidden in a copse of trees in London’s gorgeous Hyde Park, and boasts an acre of gardens, two bright airy rooms, AND an outdoor pizza oven. The perfect venue for lazy summer parties, The LookOut is a haven of natural sculptures, wooden terraces and ecological ponds which, together, create a beautifully eco friendly event experience.
A popular summer venue, we have hosted parties as The LookOut on a number of occasions, and can highly recommend it. There is room for 80 – 300 guests. You can find out more about the location, and see a virtual tour, right here.
NO. 11 PIMLICO ROAD
Another gorgeous venue, this time in the heart of Chelsea. With gorgeous interior decoration, a beautifully lit room upstairs and a special children’s party menu, No. 11 is wonderfully kid friendly.
They offer a fantastic range of specially prepared children’s food including blueberry pancakes, ice cream sundaes and fruit skewers too. We have decked out their wonderful space with many different themes, including Peppa Pig, and of course, Frozen!
THE HORNIMAN MUSEUM
Situated in Forest Hill, a short journey from Dulwich, The Horniman Museum is a favourite haunt for all South East London’s yummy mummies. With beautiful gardens, a petting zoo, a musical playground, an aquarium, AND a Victorian conservatory, The Horniman Museum is a wonderful and stunning venue for a children’s party.
We feel this would be the perfect venue for smaller party people, from ages 3 to 6, and would beautifully suit Gardener, Farmer or History themed parties. Where else can you stroke a llama, watch jellyfish and see London’s biggest stuffed walrus!

HAMLEYS SLEEPOVER
Where could be more perfect for a children’s party than the most famous toy shop in London? Hamleys! With seven floors of fun, and over 50,000 toys for sale, we think your kids will be kept occupied. The store has lots of great party packages, including a range of themes and tea parties, but it’s most exciting event is definitely the Hamleys Sleepover.
Guests can privately book out the whole store (yes, all seven floors) and are treated to a VIP tour, epic treasure hunt and red carpet arrival. An overnight stay is promised, with a late night feast, bedtime treats and a Hamleys Breakfast too.
The package also includes a photographer, luxury gift bags, a themed cake, and a visit from the Hamleys bear. Prices are available on request, and further information can be found here.
HACKNEY CITY FARM
Hackney City Farm is a gorgeous little slice of the countryside situated in the middle of urban Shoreditch! With free roaming chickens, two huge pigs called Peppa and Pearl, and the famous grumpy goose, Hackney City Farm has all you could wish for if you are planning a little one’s Farmers party.
The venue has a specific party room available for hire, which opens out onto the park and allows you free reign with regards to decoration. The farm also has a range of small, fluffy animals for your children to pet, including rabbits and guinea pigs too.

THE LANESBOROUGH
We were recently at the beautiful Lanesborough hotel for a Frozen party and were blown away by the gorgeous ‘Belgravia’ event space, with its high ceilings, towering windows, and views across Hyde Park. It also didn’t hurt that the lovely duck egg blue walls leant themselves beautifully to our icy theme!
With tall mirrors of blue Murano glass lining the walls, and stunning hand painted murals adorning the ceiling, this space is certainly suitable for any prince or princess! The events team are fantastic, happy to help in any way, and allow you to style the room to suit your theme.
