This week we were lucky enough to be invited to the Childrensalon Spring/Summer 17 press day, and boy were we excited!

The leaves may have just turned red, and the clocks might have just gone back, but in fashion, winter is long gone and Spring is on the horizon.  We visited the Langham hotel in London to see Childrensalon’s take on the new season.

Where else could we possible start when a dress this beautiful greeted us upon arrival.  With layers of soft, pink tulle, and exquisite beaded detailing on the chest, this Mischka Aoki piece would be any little princesses’ dream.  You just know it is going to twirl beautifully when danced in, and sparkle stunningly in the light with all of that beading.

Mischka Aoki, a firm Les Enfants favourite, is often picked out by celebrities and royalty too, having last made press waves when worn by Blue Ivy (Beyonce’s daughter) at the VMA Awards. The brand have a fantastic range of clientelle, including the Kardashians, and their dresses are regularly seen on the red carpet for events such as The People’s Choice Awards, Young Artist Awards, and editorially in Vogue and Harpers Bazaar.

With such stunning detailing, you can hardly be surprised.  Just look at the bronze floral cut out work and feathering on the beautiful dress above!  The brand offer a stunning range of full length and shorter dresses, alongside corsages and shoes too.

Perhaps you are looking for a party piece more understated, a little more folk inspired than Oscar leading lady?  This stunning embroidered pink dress by Spoiled Me really stood out to us.  We adore the bright red flower motif on the chest, which stands strong against more layers of frothy tulle on the arms and skirt to keep girls happy.

This Danish brand was founded by Anna Christiansen, and their collection is inspired by girls who wish to be princesses, no matter what age.  Their gorgeous dresses come in sizes 2 to 14, and feature brocade, feather and embroidery detail.  The designer is not yet featured on childrensalon, but we guarantee these pieces will fly once released in the new season.  You heard it here first!

Another folksy Spring favourite was this stunning dress by Graci, a Spanish brand.  We adored the multi coloured flower motif, and the stunning ribbed detail on the chest.

We would pair this lovely piece with some fuchsia pink knee high socks and yellow clogs for Spring, or even an easy going pair of Saltwater Sandles for when the weather gets warmer. A dress to cross the seasons, and that we wish came in an adult’s size.

Perhaps instead of the folksy route, you would like to go a little edgier and cartoon inspired? If so, Moschino is your brand.  How incredible is this white shift dress, complete with bold facial illustration and jewellery detailing.  This dress is just screaming to us for some bright socks and pumps!

We also loved this lollipop bright striped piece, also by Moschino, which reminds us of Rocket ice lollies for some reason.  Maybe it is the colour palette!  A slightly more formal dress, but just as fun. Moschino is well known for their fun, off kilter designs, and well suited for a slightly less traditional girl looking to stand out at a party.

Whilst on the hunt for slightly more eclectic brands, we came across this fantastic khaki jacket by No Added Sugar.  We all know Spring is the season of uncertainty from a weather perspective (although, let’s be honest, in Britain, the only thing you can be certain about is that if you don’t bring a jacket it will definitely rain), and so outerwear is just as important as what is underneath.

With trademark bunny patches that are bang on trend, this jacket will look at home on boys or girls, and toughen up a frothy tulle party dress wonderfully.

We also spotted this fab headpiece in No Added Sugar’s gorgeous watercolour print.  With it’s bled colours and splodge detailing, this bow would look at home on all heads, no matter what your child’s hair colour, or wether they are dressed formally or casually.

If you haven’t checked out No Added Sugar before, we would really encourage you to do so. The brand started out creating witty babies’ t-shirts back in 2001.  Since then, the brand has flown off the shelves, and is now known for it’s gorgeously trendy lookbook campaigns, and range of fantastic prints.

Whilst on the topic of accessories, how incredibly cute are these glitter bunny trainers? Whichever genius paired rabbit ears with silver sparkle deserves a medal in our books.  And, guess what?  Santa heard us. These babies come in an adults’ size too.  Thank you Minna Parikka!!  Why should our kids get all the fun?

Not only do these gorgeous trainers look comfortable, they also have a little pink pom-pom tail.  We can’t cope, we really can’t.  Minna Parikka shoes are crafted in Spain to the highest specifications, made in Italian leather and designed for fun.

Why stop at bunny ears?  Sophia Webster has a stunning range of party shoes adorned with beautiful butterfly wings in a range of gorgeous jewel tones.  These ballet pumps would look just at home with a stunning dress or a pair of dark denim skinny jeans, they really can be dressed up or down.

AND these gorgeous shoes are available in babies’ sizes too, so your teeny tiny ones will not be left out. Awarded Conde Nast footwear emerging designer of 2013, Webster is a firm favourite on the footwear scene, offering shoes in all sizes and heights to suit every lady!

Whilst these pieces will not be available to buy until 2017, you have had an exclusive peep, and have been given plenty of time to save up your pennies.  Do take a look at Childrensalon for a range of even more incredible designer pieces to suit every wardrobe.

In the meantime, if you just can’t wait until Spring, keep an eye on the Childrensalon website. A little birdy told us they have just launched their big Christmas collection, and we have heard it is extra sparkly.
