How is it December already? Where has the year gone? It feels like five minutes ago we were writing about how to plan the perfect kid’s summer birthday party, and now, boom! Tis the season to be Jolly.
Whilst Christmas shopping manically on the internet, we came across this gorgeous Winter look book by Moccasin company Amy & Ivor and just had to share it with you.
Amy and Ivor are a gorgeous baby and toddler moccasin company, who create soft, and breathable leather shoes that allow children’s feet to grow unrestricted. These stunning shoes allow your child to feel the floor beneath them, and encourage movement and balance development without cumbersome shoe structure.
The company began when, back in 2013, owner Alice Hedley struggled to find any soft, stylish footwear for her two young daughters. With a professional background in luxury fashion, Alice set to work creating a pair of simple, elasticated moccasins from a patch of red leather she had in her home studio. The result was so successful that the girls started to wear the shoes everywhere, and wherever they went, compliments followed. Amy & Ivor was born.
Today, Amy & Ivor offer a huge range of stunning moccasins, from the more traditional shape, with metallic leather fringing or cheetah print suede, to our favourite,urban yeti moccasins, decked in fluffy organic sheepskin. We have contacted Alice and put in a request for an adults’ size – we’ll keep you posted.
The brand also offer an adorable range of high top shoes, and a lovely selection of lace up traveller shoes too. Our favourites are these velvety suede travellers, and these stunning sheepskin high tops.
Amy & Ivor have been applauded by numerous companies and publications, including one of our favourites, Milk Magazine, who awarded Amy & Ivor the Best Footwear award in 2015. Green Parent Magazine also awarded the company Best Barefoot Shoes for Children in Dec 2013.
We just adored this stunning Winter lookbook, with it’s chritmassy pine branches, cosy hide rugs and gold star origami. The special limited Winter collection mixes beautifully soft textures of velvety black suede, platinum metallic and the natural shade of undyed leather. With metallic and hand embossed decorative detail, each pair of shoes is made by Amy & Ivor’s small team, by hand. Because of this, each pair of shoes are completely unique – perfect for little festive feet!
This collection will be available exclusively at Liberty London with Cissy Wears and for a limited time on a made to order basis at the Amy & Ivor website too. We think that a pair of Amy & Ivor moccasins are the ideal stocking filler for new mums and dads, or a lovely gift for toddlers too.
