So, this week I have been collecting various recipes to share with you all just in time for the kids going back to school. Some fantastic ‘Get up and Go’ breakfast treats, and some great lunch box fillers for the little ones….Enjoy!

Get up and Go!

Banana and Cinnamon Porridge/ Blackberry and Apple
Jamie Oliver
Berry soup with Seeds and Yoghurt
Abel and Cole
2 mugs of fresh or frozen berries
3 mugs of water
1/2 mug of blackcurrant cordial
3-5tbsp cornflour
sugar, to taste
fresh yoghurt to serve

Put all the ingredients, except the cornflour and sugar into a soup pot and bring to a simmer.
Simmer lightly, stirring frequently, for about 20 minutes.  Now mix the cornflour with a little cold water to dissolve it and slowly add it to the pot. You can adjust the amount of cornflour according to your desired consistency. Once the cornflour is added, check for sweetness and add sugar is necessary. Stir consistently for another 5 minutes, then remove from heat. Berry soup is delicious chilled or warm and can be frozen or stored in the freezer once made.
