Alegre Media SS17 Press Day
We were very excited to be invited to the Alegre Media press day in the gorgeous Soho Hotel this week, and we can’t wait to show you all the gorgeous spring/summer 2017 pieces we came across.
From beautiful party dresses to adorable baby rompers, Alegre Media gave us a fabulous sneak peek into what is due to hit the shelves when the sunny weather returns next year.
The first piece that really caught our eye was this peach, kitty inspired baby grow by My Little Cozmo. We loved the soft, cheese linen fabric and those adorable cat ears sat on the straps.
This piece would look wonderful layered up with knitted grey tights and a cosy cardigan too, making it a staple for the unpredictable British weather. The brand is based in Barcelona, and stocks a fantastic range of on trend minimalist prints.
The next fantastic piece to really stand out was this fantastic panda hat by Little Hotdog Watson. The print reminds us of those really, really testing jigsaw puzzles that are impossible to finish! On first glance, it almost appears to be monochrome camouflage, but on closer inspection, you discover those gorgeous bears.
Little Hotdog Watson specialise in gorgeous sunhats, with smart technology behind the brand. Not only will these hats offer your little one protection from the sun’s rays, they also have a citronella mix repeller mixed into the fabric to keep away insects!
Whilst on a monochrome theme there were a number of stunning party dresses and casual pieces by Le Mu on display. We adore this spotted tulle number, with gorgeous frilled shoulders and sweet cream satin bow waist. There were a range of lovely dresses by this brand, many finished with princess inspired tulle skirts and gorgeous detailing, such as delicate gold stitched collars.
In addition to their fantastic occasion wear, Le Mu offered up a range of beautiful casual pieces too. With large spotted bomber jackets, black and white gingham skirts and rich pink shirts (complete with felt bunny broaches!) – we didn’t quite know where to start!
We haven’t come across this UK based brand before, and were very excited to see all of the stunning pieces they had to offer. Make sure to check out Le Mu’s website as they also have a selection of wonderful clothing available in their current Autumn Winter collection.
The next brand to capture our attention was Isossy. Founder Amanda Rabor wanted to reflect cultural diversity through the collection, playing with hand finished prints and great, structured denim. We could not take our eyes off of this stunning panelled coat, with bright red zippers that allow the length to be altered to a jacket style.
The collection also featured capes with fantastic red faux fur panels. Faux fur is going to be a huge trend in both adults and kidswear next year, so keep your eyes peeled for key pieces, such as extravagant jackets and fluff detailed shoes. We adore the Mini Miss KG sandals we featured a couple of weeks ago.
Now for something a little different, a gift for mum or dad! Bax and Bay are a wonderful Scottish brand producing stunning multi-functional baby bags up in the highlands. These bags are fully baby friendly – created with the highest quality materials that are safe, even for babies with sensitive skin. The fabric used is both waterproof and hypoallergenic, and holds a British Standard safety kite for use in baby products.
We love this bright yellow number, which as well as being a very handy back pack doubles up as a portable feeding pillow, and comes with a folding changing mat and insulated bottle bag. As well as adult’s bags, the brand offers a range of beautiful, cotton children’s bags, which as perfect for nursery, school or swimming.
Now, if you know us at all, you will know we are always up for playtime, and cannot get enough of props! This stunning tent by Izzi Rainey was bound to be a match made in heaven. With block print fabric and pom pom detailing, we never really stood a chance!
The brand is made up of two friends, Izzi and Lara, who both grew up in Norfolk. The prints used across their home and interior products are inspired by the unexpected colour combinations found on Izzi’s family farm, and the bold, textural shapes found in an agricultural environment.
Finally, we just had to finish with a fabulous party dress, let’s face it, we are a party company after all! We loved the detail in this stunning piece by Junona. With a beautiful ballgown dressed figure dancing across the skirt, and frilled straps on the shoulders, this is a stand out piece.
We adore the gold beading and full skirt, which is going to go down fantastically with little ladies who love to twirl around! Junona have a wonderful range of evening wear to suit a wide range of tastes, from rock chick to girly girl, they have you covered. Check out their current season here.
We had a wonderful time at the press day and were very pleased to be invited. There was a fantastic range of designers and some real stand out pieces.
Keep an eye on Spring/Summer next year people, it is going to come around faster than you think!
