ZSL London Zoo is the ideal venue to hold children’s birthday parties, it’s the only place they can really run wild!

Our birthday parties are designed to give you the flexibility of selecting the options which suit you, and your budget.

Step 1: Entry tickets to ZSL London Zoo

Everyone in your party will need a ticket to enter the zoo.

Special rate when booking the Rainforest Party room is £10 per person (adults and children).

Members: Free entry
Under 3s: Free entry

For every 5 children, you will require a minimum of 1 adult.

We will need to know final numbers 1 week before the party. Additional guests can purchase tickets on the gate at the standard price on the day of the party.

Please note:
If you do not wish to book the Rainforest Party room, then you will need to purchase your tickets direct at the standard ticket rate by clicking here and enter the zoo as normal visitors. If you have more than 10 people you are eligible for the group rate discount. Unfortunately we are unable to reserve tables in our catering outlets or store birthday cakes. If you want to have a structured party, you need to book the Rainforest Party room below.

 

Step 2: Book the Rainforest Party room

Hidden within Rainforest Life, the Rainforest Party room is the perfect place to have a really wild party.

Cost: £195 - exclusively yours for 2 hours. 

Room capacity: The room has a maximum capacity of 30 children and 30 adults.

Party Co-ordinator: A Party Co-ordinator is included in the cost of the room hire. They will be not responsible for entertaining the party-goers but will ensure your party goes smoothly.

Dates: Saturday and Sunday, all year round.

Times:  Times vary due to season but we have two time slots per day

Step 3: Choose your party food

Only food pre-ordered through us is allowed in the Rainforest Party room.
The only exception is the birthday cake which you are welcome to bring with you (you'll need to supply your own serviettes, knife etc).

Step 4: Room decorations (optional)

The Rainforest Party room is a great space, but you may wish to make it even more special by adding extra decorations. Only decorations ordered through us are allowed in the Rainforest Party room.

Animal themed tableware package
Tablecloths, plates, cups, napkins, table centres and a selection of goodies for the young party goers.

Jungle crew package
Includes cut-outs, 3d props, balloons and tableware.
Cost: £565

Princesses on safari package
Includes cut-outs, 3d props, balloons and tableware.
Cost: £565

Pirates on safari package
Includes cut-outs, 3d props, balloons and tableware.
Cost: £565

Unfortunately due to animal welfare, all balloons must stay in the party room after the party has finished.

Step 5: Entertainment (optional)

You are welcome to organise your own traditional party games for the party, alternatively you can request one of the options below.

Soft Play (1 - 5 year olds) Our wonderful soft play party lets the little ones have fun in the ball pit and clamber over the building blocks. Cost: £300	Animal Action Party (1-5 year olds) Our action party entertainer will play a mixture of music, games, nursery rhymes, fitness and fun, all animal themed! The party features our bag full of unique toys such as ribbon dancers, bubbles, musical instruments and pom poms. Cost: £340 for 2 hours
Animal Arty Crafty (age 4 years +) If you enjoy arts and crafts this is for you, your Party Co-ordinator will help the children make a selection of animal crafts from masks, bags, hats, all to be taken home as a memory of a special day at the zoo. Cost: £7.75 per child	‘Zak’ or ‘Zara’ Zoo Keeper (age 4 years +) The key to a successful party is a fabulous entertainer. You can choose from a male or female entertainer 'Zak' or 'Zara' Zoo Keeper, or have both! Dependent on the age of the children the entertainer will combine a mixture of games, magic, songs and lots of fun with interesting facts about the zoo and its animals. Cost: £300 per entertainer for 2 hours
Animal Drama Party (age 7 years +) Our drama coach will take you on a journey into the animal kingdom as you recreate your own animal drama. Cost: £300 for 2 hours	Balloon modellers Wonderful balloon modeller to keep the children entertained (balloons can not be taken out of the party room afterwards). Cost: £265 for 2 hours
Face painter Turn your kids really wild by booking a face painter. Cost: £180 for 2 hours

All entertainers are CRB checked and quality controlled. They will adapt the entertainment to the specific age group of the party. Only entertainers and play equipment booked through us are allowed in the Rainforest Party room.

Step 7: Party bags (optional)

We can either deliver direct to you our unfilled party bags which can be drawstring or tote bags. Or you can choose our standard or premium filled party bags which can be delivered direct to the party room.

We can personalise with any design and message such as 'Thank you for coming to Jake's party'.
All bags have either the Jungle Crew or Zak/Zara Zoo Keeper designs. Personalise bags by adding an additional 50p per bag.

Step 8: Personalised Photographs (optional)

Personalised photograph for each child to take away at the party in a themed personalised border, group shot and CD of general party images to be sent after the event.
